Every. Vote. Matters.

Vote in the provincial election on October 24!
There is a snap provincial election on October 24 and every vote matters.
In the last year, we've seen the BC Cons splinter into three different parties (CentreBC, BC Cons, OneBC) as thirteen MLAs abandoned the party.
Despite already having a majority, David Eby cynically called a snap election to take advantage of the turmoil, but this may backfire as somehow the BC Cons are leading the polls.
Now Eby is begging BC Green voters to hold their nose and vote for a party that has doubled down on fossil fuel expansion while BC communities burn to the ground.
Our ideal election outcome is a BC NDP minority government with five BC Green MLAs.
Wouldn't it be nice if we had proportional representation so we could vote for what we want instead of the least bad option?

If you don't vote for what you want you'll never get it
The BC NDP continue to fail us on the issues we care about. The only time any real progress is made is when the BC Greens hold the balance of power.
Should you vote strategically? That's ultimately up to you, but here's some information that may help inform your decision.
*******
Every vote earns $1.89 for your preferred party
For every vote that a party receives, that party receives an annual allowance. In 2026, that was $1.89 per vote.
Every vote means more resources for your preferred party.

People that don't vote could tip the balance by 41.55%
Know someone that doesn't vote because they think their vote doesn't count? That is 41.55% of eligible voters!
Imagine how our politics would change for the better if everyone voted!
In the 2024 election, several ridings across BC were won by a handful of votes. Every vote matters.

Every. Vote. Matters.
In West Vancouver Sea to Sky, we helped to shift the vote over two election cycles to elect the first BC Green MLA on the mainland in an historic win.
How? We gave people permission to vote for the BC Greens.
In 2020, our message was simple: BC Greens only needed 3,000 more votes to win. Jeremy Valeriote lost by 41 votes.
In 2024, we could show that every vote matters, and Jeremy Valeriote was elected with a 676 vote lead.

Ridings where the BC Greens could win
Looking at historical votes and the latest polls, here are the ridings that could be won by the BC Greens:
Saanich North and the Islands | Emily Lowan
Please vote for Emily Lowan, the inspiring leader of the BC Greens!
West Vancouver Sea to Sky | Jeremy Valeriote
Please vote for Jeremy Valeriote if you want an MLA who will continue to advocate for regional transit and defend our health as Woodfibre LNG starts flaring in 2027.
We are extremely concerned that Woodfibre LNG and FortisBC's temporary workers will form a large voting block of ~1,000 BC Conservative voters who will vote for Ayla Dumais, a former Woodfibre LNG employee.
We need every single vote to stop the BC Conservatives from winning the West Vancouver Sea to Sky riding. If you typically vote for the BC NDP, please consider voting for the BC Greens in this riding.
Victoria Beacon Hill | Rajinder Sahota
Only 2,000 votes are needed to elect a BC Green.
Juan de Fuca Malahat | David Evans
Only 3,800 votes are needed to elect a BC Green.
Saanich South | Lisa Lapointe
Only 5,000 votes are needed to elect a BC Green.

Ridings where BC NDP climate leaders could win
We also need to elect strong climate leaders in the BC NDP. We encourage you to vote for the BC NDP in these ridings to avoid splitting the vote.
Courtenay-Comox | Will Cole-Hamilton
Only 100 votes needed. Please vote BC NDP.
Boundary-Similkameen | Roly Russell
Only 1,500 votes needed. Please vote BC NDP.
Penticton-Summerland | Tina Lee
Only 320 votes needed. Please vote BC NDP.
Powell River-Sunshine Coast | Randene Neill
Potential risk of vote splitting. Please vote BC NDP.
