Join me in Protecting Howe Sound ~ our jewel !

November 28, 2017

Do you remember Joni Mitchell's song?

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got till it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot

That is not the case for Howe Sound: we know exactly what we have to lose because we lost it once before.

After decades of recovery efforts and millions in taxpayer dollars, Howe Sound is coming back to life. The herring have returned, along with the salmon, eagles, dolphins, and whales.

Howe Sound is a jewel that must be protected. No matter how you experience Howe Sound, whether you hike, swim, boat, kayak, canoe, or simply soak in the views along the spectacular Sea to Sky highway, Howe Sound is integral to our sense of place. I am so proud to be a part of where I choose to live.

If we want to Protect Howe Sound we need to ensure that My Sea to Sky is here for the long term: To inspire, educate, and organize our communities to protect Howe Sound and actively create the future we want, together.

I invite you to play a critical role in helping to protect Howe Sound by becoming one of the first monthly donors to My Sea to Sky.

Today is Giving Tuesday—a movement dedicated to giving back to bring about real change in our communities.

Please help to protect Howe Sound by becoming a monthly donor.

Together we can preserve and protect our precious, beautiful, and beloved Howe Sound. Please make a monthly contribution to My Sea to Sky starting today.

Sincerely,

Brenda Broughton, MA, RCC
