It's time to take ACTION!

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) has completed an analysis of the upstream greenhouse gas emissions for Woodfibre LNG. Now we have three weeks to tell our new Federal Government that the Woodfibre LNG project is unacceptable.

Woodfibre LNG is NOT a done deal. The Federal Government has NOT approved the project. It is still under review and there is no time limit on when they have to respond. PLUS if there is no pipeline there can be no Woodfibre LNG. FortisBC has NOT been granted their BC Environmental Assessment certificate. Squamish First Nation hasn't approved the FortisBC pipeline either and are still in discussions with Fortis.

Here are some of the key actions we need you to take to help us apply some serious political pressure to stop Woodfibre LNG:

1) Sign and share the Howe Sound Declaration!

We did the math: if each of you gets TWO friends to sign the Howe Sound Declaration we will easily surpass our goal of 10,000 signatures. THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT! We have less than three weeks to get as many signatures as possible and we need your help. SIGN AND SHARE IT NOW!

2) Put these dates in your calendar!

Thanks to pressure applied by My Sea to Sky and Concerned Citizens Bowen, Pamela Goldsmith-Jones M.P. has set up three community meetings to help gather public comments. We need to fill these venues to overflowing. Bring your friends and your kids!

3) Submit your comments to the CEAA by March 1st 2016

Last year you helped us submit the most public comments for any Environmental Assessment, ever! We need your help to do that again to tell the Federal government loud and clear that we say NO to Woodfibre LNG and its associated pipelines and tankers.

Read the 8-page analysis on upstream greenhouse gas emissions, and submit your comments on the analysis by March 1st to:

4) Stay tuned...

For those of you that would like a little help with your submissions, My Sea to Sky and Concerned Citizens Bowen are pulling together a list of our key concerns with this analysis of upstream greenhouse gas emissions. We love our dedicated volunteers!

We'll do our best to keep you informed in the next three weeks.
