This election is going to be close and every vote counts. Check out the latest polls.

We simply cannot afford a BC Conservative government led by a climate change denier, John Rustad, who has committed to more fracking, more LNG exports, more resource extraction, and undermining Indigenous Rights.

Please get informed and make your vote count on October 19.

Thank you for participating in an active and healthy democracy.

1. Get informed

Know who you are voting for. What are their values? Do they have a vision for the future that inspires you? What policies have they committed to? Which parties are committed to urgent climate action?

Did you know that John Rustad, the leader of the BC Conservatives, was kicked out of the BC Liberals (aka BC United) for climate change denial? Or that BC Conservative candidates across the province have been shamefully skipping debates that focus on climate and the environment?

Vote at any district electoral office

You can vote at any district electoral office in the province from now until 4 p.m. on Final Voting Day (October 19, 2024).

3. Ask your friends and family to vote

This election is shaping up to be a very tight race, and the outcome could be decided by just a few ridings. That means every vote counts. Please phone, text, or email your friends and help to get out the vote.

4. Put your candidates in the hot seat

The BC Climate Emergency Campaign has put together an amazing election toolkit to help you talk to your candidates, ask questions at all-candidates events, write letters to your local paper or candidates, and have election conversations with your friends and family.

It highlights the connections between affordability and the climate crisis; has example questions for climate-related issues; and tips on how to respond to myths and disinformation, particularly on LNG and fracking.
