Wildfires, heat waves, and floods are devastating our communities, driving up costs for groceries, utilities, insurance and other everyday expenses. Can you march with the youth this Friday to make urgent climate action a top priority in the upcoming provincial election?

DETAILED ITINERARY

1 p.m. Host nation welcome by Manuel Strain, 2-Spirit artist from the lands and waters of the xʷməθkʷəyəm (Musqueam), Simpcw and Syilx peoples; and a speech from Grade 11 student, Delara Reporter.

1:30 p.m. March together with musical performances by Folk Song Society, Solidarity Notes, Left Coast Labour Choir, Rhythm Rebellion, and Carnival Band along the route.

2:45 p.m. Connect with community at the Vancouver Art Gallery — featuring a welcome by Sun Dance Chief Rueben George of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation; special guest appearance by singer-songwriter Billy Bragg; performances by Indigenous Women Rise Up, Ndidi Cascade and Powys HJ; a speech by environmental organizer and Dogwood Campaigner Ashley Zarbatany; plus a children’s activity booth.
